Ementa

This course aims at presenting an overview of contemporary Brazilian Politics. It is structured around four dimensions: (1) political institutions; (2) democratic innovations; (3) public policy; and (4) social struggles. Through these dimensions, the course seek to present a snapshot of important trends In Brazilian Politics, also discussing some of its contemporary dilemmas and crossroads. Fully taught in English, the course seeks to broaden the audience of the Political Science Graduate Program, further developing its internationalization process.
